Jeff Provost
Founder of Key Performance Integrators. Jeff has actually held the operator seat inside owner-led and private-equity-backed companies and run acquisitions on both sides of the deal. He goes inside businesses that have outgrown their owner, builds the systems that let them run without him and helps owners buy and sell well.

Background
Most companies think they have a talent problem. In Jeff’s experience they have a clarity problem. Too many priorities, too many opinions and not enough agreement on what winning actually looks like.
Founders trust their gut, and that is often why they succeed early. But growth changes the game. As the team expands and the work gets more complex, gut is not enough. You need visibility. You need numbers that tell the truth. You need simple processes that make execution repeatable. And increasingly you need AI put to work with intent, not as a science project.
Clarity creates focus. Data creates accountability. Process creates consistency. That is the thesis KPI was founded on in 2022: most growing companies do not need another consultant, they need an operator who has actually held the seat. That role has a name, the fractional integrator, the second-in-command who turns the owner’s vision into how the team runs day to day.
Where Jeff works today
Onspire Health Marketing, where he is COO. It started as a single planning session. A private-equity-backed healthcare marketing group, in the middle of a roll-up, brought Jeff in to facilitate one strategic planning meeting, the first time the leadership of several newly acquired companies had sat in a room together. That session became standardizing their sales systems onto one CRM. That became running the integration of the acquired businesses. That became the COO seat. Over the next two years Jeff led five acquisitions, rebranded the combined group as Onspire, moved the departing founders out without losing a step and rebuilt the whole thing into one company: five business units under centralized leadership, shared services for everything repeatable and an offshore team grown from a couple of people to nearly twenty. He also led the organization’s move to AI, using automation as a force multiplier in how the work gets delivered and, increasingly, as part of the product itself, where AI handles the review responses, SMS and chat that convert inquiries into patients. One planning session became a business built to be worth far more than the sum of its parts.
Key Performance Integrators, the M&A advisory firm for owner-led businesses he founded in 2022, helping owners build, buy and sell businesses worth more.
Across his career Jeff has run or been part of 12 M&A integrations. That includes a VP role at DealerRater, a private-equity-backed company that integrated under a strategic acquirer in a successful exit, and the five acquisitions he led at Onspire. Roll-ups, carve-outs and post-close go-to-market are where he does his best work, and he has written down the approach he uses in Seamless M&A Integration.
The thread across all of it: growth is not accidental. It is designed.
